Coraline is planting flowers in her garden. She plants her first 7 flowers in 4 minutes. After 12 minutes, she has planted 21 different flowers. If Coraline keeps planting flowers at this rate, how long will it take her to plant all 70 flowers that she has?

Let F be the number of flowers that Coraline plants in 1 minute.
We know that she plants 7 flowers in 4 minutes, so her rate is:

F = 7 flowers / 4 minutes
F = 1.75 flowers / minute

After 12 minutes, she has already planted 21 flowers, so she has planted:

21 flowers = F * 12 minutes
21 flowers = (1.75 flowers / minute) * 12 minutes
21 flowers = 21 flowers

Now, Coraline needs to plant another 49 flowers (since she wants to plant 70 flowers in total). At her rate of 1.75 flowers per minute, this will take:

49 flowers = F * T minutes
49 flowers = (1.75 flowers / minute) * T minutes
T = 28 minutes

Therefore, it will take Coraline an additional 28 minutes to plant the remaining 49 flowers, bringing her total time spent planting to 4 + 12 + 28 = 44 minutes.
