Answer:

10

Explanation:

use an=a1+(n-1)d

d= -6

a1= 52

n=8

a8 = a52 + (8 - 1) (-6)

= 52 + (7) (-6)

= 52 + (-42)

a8 = 10

Answer:

10

Explanation:

Floor 1: 52 windows

Floor 2: 52 - 6 = 46 windows

Floor 3: 46 - 6 = 40 windows

Floor 4: 40 - 6 = 34 windows

Floor 5: 34 - 6 = 28 windows

Floor 6: 28 - 6 = 22 windows

Floor 7: 22 - 6 = 16 windows

Floor 8: 16 - 6 = 10 windows

or, use the arithmetic sequence formula: an = a1 + (n - 1)d

a₈ = 52 + (8 - 1)(6) = 52 - 42 = 10
