my 14-year-old still has a pacifier. she uses it all the time. i asked her if she was ready to throw it out and she just cried. what do i do?

instead of asking her to throw it out, rather speak to her on why she shouldn’t use it anymore. then gradually start telling her to use it less throughout the day (week 1 she can use it 2 hours a day, week 2 one hour a day etc…)
