40% (walk) + 27% (cable car) = 67%
67%=0.67
0.67*400 (total students) = 268
Not B,C, or D because:
Walk (40%) plus streetcar (15%) equals
55%, and 0.55*400=220
8% (bicycle)=0.08, 0.08*400=32
Bus (10%)=0.1, 0.1*400=40

Answer: A (together, walk and cable car are the preferred transportation for 268 residents)

Explanation:

40% (walk) + 27% (cable car) = 67%

67%=0.67

0.67*400 (total students) = 268

Not B,C, or D because:

Walk (40%) plus streetcar (15%) equals 55%, and 0.55*400=220

8% (bicycle)=0.08, 0.08*400=32

Bus (10%)=0.1, 0.1*400=40

HOPE THIS HELPED!
