A cone is stacked on top of a cylinder. They both share a circular base. The total height of the composite figure is 20. The height of the cylinder is 11 and the diameter is 12. What is the volume of the composite figure? Use 3. 14 for π and round the answer to the nearest tenth of a cubic unit. 753. 6 in. 3 904. 3 in. 3 1,0582. 6 in. 3 1,0997. 0 in. 3.

Answer:

1582.6 unit³

Explanation:

Volume of cone = (1/3) X vertical height X π r ²

= (1/3) X (20 - 11) X (3.14) (12/2) ²

= (1/3) X (9) X (3.14) (6)²

= 339.12

Volume of cylinder = π r ² h

= (3.14) (6)² (11)

= 1243.44

volume of figure = 339.12 + 1243.44 = 1582.56

= 1582.6 unit³
