The diameter is the width of the circle to find the radius divide 32 by 2 to get 16. Then since the formula for a circle is A=pi x the radius squared. You would then use the formula and get 804.247

The area of a circle is pi•radius^2
The diameter is twice the radius
So if the diameter is 32, the radius is 32/2 which is 16

The area of the circle is again, pi•radius^2. Now that we know the radius, we can plug that into the equation.
Now we have pi•16^2 which is 256, and so the area is 256 pi
(which is approximately 256*3.14= 803.84 square centimeters)
