The expression 10.32d + 12.84c can be used to find the total cost of d pounds of almonds and c pounds of cashews. How much does it cost to buy 31/2 pounds of almonds and 41/2 pounds of cashews?​

First, I would convert the fractions of the weight of the food into decimals. Then just substitute them into the equation.

10.32d + 12.84c
= 10.32(3.5) + 12.84(4.5)
= 36.12 + 57.78
= $93.90
