Which of these numbers is the greater
-3, -5, -1, -4, -8​

-1 is the the greater number because it’s the closest to zero. When comparing negative numbers to each other the closer you are to zero the greater you are for negative numbers. Likewise, all positive numbers and 0 will always be greater than negative numbers.

Example : -10 is greater than - 28 because -10 is closer to zero.

Explanation: -1 , because the other answers are more less so if you add POSITIVE number too the negative it will give you a greater number
