Rosa Parks was sitting in the first row of the Black section. When a bus is full the front of the bus is reserved for the white passengers. Rosa wanted change and by not giving up her seat to a white passenger, that involved her getting arrested and a 381-day boycott of the Montgomery bus system to occur. Which was a mass protest against the bus system and later in 1956 the Supreme Court decided to ban segregation on public transportation.
