FADE IN:
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
A group of students is taking an exam. John, one of the students, is struggling and looks anxious.
Suddenly, John notices that his classmate, Peter, is cheating off of his phone.
John hesitates for a moment, but then decides to ask for Peter's help.
JOHN
(whispering)
Hey Peter, can you send me the answers?
PETER
(whispering)
Sure thing, man.
Peter starts to text the answers to John, but just then, the teacher, Ms. Johnson, notices the exchange.
MS. JOHNSON
(angrily)
What's going on over there?
Peter quickly hides his phone, but Ms. Johnson is not fooled.
MS. JOHNSON (CONT'D)
(to Peter)
Hand me your phone.
Peter reluctantly hands over his phone and Ms. Johnson discovers the incriminating text messages.
MS. JOHNSON (CONT'D)
(angrily)
You two are cheating! This is unacceptable.
John looks ashamed, while Peter looks nervous.
MS. JOHNSON (CONT'D)
(to John)
You will receive a zero for this exam, and I will be notifying your parents.
(to Peter)
And you, young man, will be facing disciplinary action.
PETER
(pleadingly)
Please don't tell anyone, I'll do anything.
MS. JOHNSON
(disapprovingly)
Cheating is not acceptable, Peter. I'll have to think about what the appropriate consequences are.
The other students watch as John and Peter are escorted out of the classroom.
FADE OUT.
