Explanation:

a) there are 15 balloons in total. 4 of them are purple.

p(1st purple) = 4/15

p(2nd purple) = (4-1) / (15-1) = 3/14.

p(both purple) = (4/15) X (3/14) = 12/210 = 2/35.

b) (2/15) X (2/14) = 4/210 = 2/105.
