The Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) is a well-known name in the history of Canada and

North America. Established in 1670, the HBC was a British-owned fur trade company that

played a significant role in the colonization of Canada. This essay will examine the history of

The HBC was founded by two French traders who sought to establish trading

growth.However,it eventually lost out due to external factors; but nonetheless succeeded at

creating lasting impacts on economy,society and environment.
