Starvation's Silent Thief.
Starvation, a silent thief of life,
Stealing breath and strength, causing strife
Empty bellies, pangs of hunger
No escape from its grasp, no wonder
Aching bones, weak and frail
Desperate cries, to no avail
Famine's grip, a cruel hold
Leaving nothing, not even gold
Children's eyes, hollow and bleak
Pleading for food, with each weak
Mothers weeping, helpless and torn
As starvation's shadow is cast on the unborn
A tragedy of epic proportion
Starvation, a global distortion
May we join hands, hearts and minds
To end hunger and its painful binds.
