When subtracting a fraction, can the solution ever be grater than 1?

Answer: yes if it was originally over 1 example: 1 1/2 - 1/4 = 1 1/4

depends

If its one fraction and one whole number, for example (2 - ½) the answer is 1½. which is greater than one...

but if they are both fraction example (¾-½) it is 1/2

but overall, Yes.
