Explain why you think that conserving freshwater is or is not a concern.

Conserving freshwater is a major concern for many reasons. Freshwater is a finite resource, and although it covers around 70% of the Earth's surface, only about 2.5% of it is freshwater, and a significant percentage of that is not readily available for human use because it is frozen in glaciers or too deep underground.
