Answer: 5

Explanation:

8x  11 = 2x + 1

Subtract 2x from both sides of the expression....

8x  11 - 2x = 2x + 1 - 2x

==> 8x - 2x - 11 = 2x - 2x + 1

==> 6x - 11 = 1

Add 11 on both sides....

==> 6x - 11 + 11 = 1 + 11

==> 6x = 12

Divide both sides by 6....

==> 6x/6=12/6

==> x = 2

That x = 2 is the solution of the given equation...

To check your solution you have to substitute the value of x in the given expression

8 * 2  11 = 2 * 2 + 1

==> 16 - 11 = 4 + 1

==> 5 = 5

That is you have same value on either sides of the given expression

Means your solution is correct/ Hope this helped!
