Explain the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan in the 1990s & why the regime became an enemy of the United States.

I, for the life of me, can't find anything on this. Either I'm blind or just not looking in the right spot.

Answer: .

Step-by-step explanation:

The Taliban entered Kandahar in November 1994 to pacify the crime-ridden southern city, and by September 1996 seized the capital, Kabul, from President Burhanuddin Rabbani, an ethnic Tajik whom they viewed as anti-Pashtun and corrupt.
