Answer: Many things could cause a plant to stop growing like lack of sunlight, too much sunlight, lack of water, too much water, wrong ph level for soil, etc.

Explanation: Like us humans plants need their basic needs met just like how we need to eat and drink water, and just like us they can over do this(eating too much food=problems or if you don't eat your growth could become stunted)

Extreme weather can stress a plant and interfere with its regular growth processes, which can result in stunted or stopped growth when any of these elements are present.
