Pythagorean theorem: A^2 + B^2 = C^2

C is the hypotenuse, the side opposite from the 90 degree angle. So we have C and A.

c^2 - a^2 = b^2

23^2 - 16^2 = b^2

b^2 = 273

b= 16.5
