The statement "All of the responses are correct" is not accurate. Only statement 3 is correct.

1) All US citizens, including African Americans, were not significantly better off than before the war. The war did provide economic opportunities for many people, but the benefits were not equally distributed among all groups.

2) Wealth and income were not equally distributed after WWII. The post-war period was characterized by significant income inequality, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s.

3) The government did expand the military budget after WWII in order to maintain a strong national defense in the face of the emerging Cold War.

So, only statement 3 is correct.

False.

Option 4 ("All of the responses are correct") is not true because options 2 and 3 are incorrect.

Option 1 is also not entirely true. While many US citizens, including African Americans, saw economic gains after World War II due to increased employment opportunities, the benefits were not equally distributed and discrimination and segregation persisted.
