Find any domain restrictions on the given rational equation 50/4x -12 + x-4/x^2+x-12 = x/2

Answer: -4, 3

Explanation:

This is what I think you mean when you typed your equation:


(50)/(4x-12) + (4)/(x^(2)+x-12 ) =(x)/(2)

you can never get a 0 on the bottom so the domain is restricted where you get 0 on the bottom

4x-12=0

4x=12

x=3 x can never = 3, because it would cause a 0 on the bottom

also


x^(2) +x-12=0 factor to solve for x

(x+4)(x-3)=0 set each equal to 0 and solve

x=-4, 3

Domain is restricted at -4, 3,
