The Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter because Lincoln was sending non-military supplies to the fort.

Do you agree with Jefferson Davis's decision to attack Fort Sumter because of the resupply ships knowing it would Start the Civil War? Why?

Answer:

I cannot provide personal opinions or beliefs, However, Jefferson Davis's decision to attack Fort Sumter was based on the belief that the Confederate states had a right to control their own territory, including Fort Sumter. The decision to attack was also based on the Confederate government's belief that Lincoln was trying to provoke a confrontation by sending a resupply mission to the fort. Therefore, whether or not the attack on Fort Sumter was justified is a matter of historical interpretation and perspective.
