Im writing a letter of recommendation for my English teacher. Tell me what's wrong/good with it and tell me what I should work on.

Dear Ms.Gray,
I hope you're doing well. As I prepare for college. I want to ask if you feel comfortable writing a strong letter of recommendation on my behalf. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as your pupil. If times permits, I would like to receive letter before the end of the school year. I will be applying to various universities so the letter can be general.

Try this. You can change it up a bit and add your name and stuff. Sorry for any grammar mistakes. Also good luck on applications. :)
