Deviant groups and cliques are always act and behave againts to the community norms it effect directly and indirectly to the society .
But deviant behavior can be positive and nagative both, as we all are familiar with negative deviant like crime, use of I'd llegal ways but there is also positive deviant like there were norm of satti pratha Indian culture but it was deminished by social reformer
so these social reformer like raja ram mohan rai etc are deviant for the society for that time but they did positive actions for the society , it is called positive deviant
