What would be a good scientific reason to explain why plants that receive more light have more growth?

Light is required for plants to absorb water

Only water influences plant growth

The radiation emitted from the light increases the moisture in the soil

Plants need light for the process of photosynthesis. Without photosynthesis, plants cannot make their own food.
