Answer:

Generators and transformers share similarities and differences in their use in electrical power systems. Both transfer energy, change voltage levels, and operate on electromagnetic induction. However, generators convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, produce a range of voltages and currents, and have a rotating component. Transformers transfer electrical energy from one circuit to another, can only change voltage and current levels, and have a stationary core with coils wound around it.
