The volume of a cone can be found with:

V = pi r^2 (h/3)

We already know the volume ( V = 96pi) and the radius ( r = 6 ). Plug these values in to solve for height (h):

96pi = pi (6)^2 (h/3)

96pi = pi 36 (h/3)

pi cancels since it is on both sides:

96 = 36 (h/3)

Isolate h:

96/36 = h/3

8/3 = h/3

3 • 8/3 = h

8 = h

The height is 8 meters.

Hope this helps!
