Explanation:

The equation if a line ilin point slope form is expressed as;

y-y0 = m(x-x0)

M is the slope

(X0,y0) is the point

Substitute

y - (-2) = 1/2(x-4)

y+2 = 1/2(x-4)

2(y+2) = x-4

2y+4 = x-4

2y-x = -8

Hence the required equation is 2y-x = -8
