Oxymoron and paradox?

An oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines two contradictory terms. For example, "After her purse fell into the mud pile, it became pretty ugly."

A paradox is a situation that contradicts itself or seems to defy logic, yet may still be true or have some validity. For example, "The more you fail, the more likely you are to succeed."

Hope this helps!
