At the spelling bee finals, sarah correctly spelled two less than three times as many words as christian. Leonard correctly spelled one more than twice the number of words as christian. Altogether, the three students correctly spelled a total of 95 words.

leonard = 2x + 1

sarah = 3x - 2

christian = ?

16 = christian

33 = leonard

46 = sarah

The formula above is shown from the worded version, christian is the base value for the numbers, whatever christian has, multiply that by 2 and add 1 to get leonard, and multiply christians initial number by 3 and subtract 2 to get sarah's
