3(x-5)=6

multiply 3 by x and -5

3x-15=6

add 15 on each side

it cancels out on the left nd on the right u get 21

so it would be

3x=21

divide by 3 on each side

X=7

Check:

3(7-5)=6

3(2)=6

6=6

Explanation:

3(x - 5) = 6

x - 5 = 2 (divide 3 on both sides)

x = 7 (add 5 on both sides)

The solution is x = 7.
