These costs need to be looked at and the playing fields leveled or paid for by the state, so that politicians having policies with the people's interests at heart (but not profitable policies for corporates) do not have to rely on donations to stay in politics. All donations above a certain amount should be banned, with a cap per year.

All donations should be made to a central donation organization to establish full disclosure, and to prevent the wealthy from making many consecutive donations.

If politicians have to rely on donations from the people, their policies will be for the people
