Remember a single pound has 16 ounces and Megan weighed 7 pounds.
First step: we will multiply 16 to 7: 16*7=112
Second step: we will compare them both so Mathew weighed 96 ounces and Magen weight’s 112 ounces at birth,so subtract 112 from 96: 112-96=16
That means Megan was 1 pound more heavier than Mathew.

There are 16 ounces in a pound. In order to concert 7 pounds to ounces we have to multiply it by 16. 7 times 16 = 122. So, Megan weighed 122 ounces at birth, which is more than 96 ounces.
