Answer: No solutions

Work:

-x + y = 3

add x to both sides to isolate y

y = 3 + x

Now substitute what you have for y inside the other equation

-3x + 3(3 + x) = 4

Distribute the 3

-3x + 9 + 3x = 4

Combine like terms

9 = 4

No solutions
