i cannot answer ss 1

but ss 2 is going to be t <_ 12 (less than or equal to 12) this is because he can run AT MOST 27 miles, meaning he cannot run over 27 miles, give that it already gives you 15 miles, subtract 15 from 27, and you get 12, which is the maxiumum number of miles he can run
