A reversible reaction is a chemical reaction in which the reactants can be converted back and forth into each other. This is due to the fact that the products of the reaction have the same energy as the reactants and are therefore in equilibrium. This means that the forward and reverse reactions are occurring at the same rate, and no matter which direction the reaction takes, the same amount of reactants and products will remain in the system.
