Find the area of EACH square? each? If that's so the answer is already in the question. 1 square unit.

But if you want to find the area of the ENTIRE square (which is made of many squares) then you count them. That's 256 squares my guy. So 256 square units.

If my counting is adequate that answer should be correct.
