Area of a triangle:

A = (base * height) / 2

= (6m*8m)/2

= (48m)/2

= 24

Area of a rectangle:

A = base * height

= 12m * 8m

= 96
m^(2)

Area of the polygon:

A = area of triangle + area of rectangle

= 24m + 96m

= 120
m^(2)
