Answer:x=14/3

Explanation:

10x+2=16x-26

Subtract 2 from both side 10x+2-2+16x-26-2

Subtract the Numbers

10x = 16x -26 -2

Do It again

10x = 16x - 28

Subtract 16 from boths side

10x-16x = 16x -28 -16x

Combine like terms

10x- 16x - 16x to get 16x-10x = 6x-16x = -6x

-6x = -28x

divided both sides by the same factor

-6

-6x/-6 -28x/-6

cancel terms -6x/6

then divide -28x/-6 =

x=14/3
