"Thank You, Ma'am" is a 1958 short story by Langston Hughes. The plot revolves around two characters, Mrs. Jones and Roger. Roger attempts to snatch Mrs. Jones purse but loses his balance and falls to the ground. Mrs. Jones kicks Roger and drags him to her home to rehabilitate him.
