Answer: C

Explanation: Using the process of elimination, we know that (A) is one of the reasons because of the impact the Catholic Church had on much of Europe during medieval times, we also know (B) is also correct due to the successful trade created during the Crusades between Europe and the Eastern world, and (D) which is also correct since there was a lack of workforce in Europe after the Black Death. So option C is NOT a reason that the Renaissance occurred in Italy. The King of England had very little to do with Italy, if anything they weren't on the best of terms.
