Right to veto is given to the 5 permanent countries in the united nation security council . These countries are the winner of world war 2 and founding member of united nation . The name of the countries are following as :- Russia , America , France , Britan , China .

There are total 15 member in UN security council . The 5 are permanent and 10 are non permanent members . Non permanent members are selected by UN general assembly for 2 years . The permanent countries refuse any purposal which was purposed in UNSC and all 14 members are agreed on the purposal . All the permanent members are the leading nuclear power . Russia used its veto 121 times , the US used its veto 82 times , the UK used its veto 29 times , the china used its veto 17 times and the france used 16 times .

Future permanent memeber are Germany , Japan , India , Brazil . These all countries are emerging military and economic superpower.
