To answer this problem you will need to find out the slope. Since it’s slope intercept form. From a table you need to figure to use two numbers. Let’s say 9 and 4. How did 9 get to 4? By subtracting 5. Then for the x you need to pick two numbers. Let’s say -4 and -2. -4 plus 2 is -2. So now we have two new numbers. -5 and 2. Now we divide the y over the x. We get -5/2 or -2.5. For the y-intercept it’s pretty simple. You see which number in the x row is 0. You look at the number beside it and you see -1. So the equation will be.

y=-2.5x-1

Answer:

Explanation:

The slope intercept formula is y = mx +b

We already have our y-intercept of -1 so we just have to calculate the slope. We can do that by using two points from the table i.e. (-4,9) and (-2,4).

Answer: y = -5/2x - 1 or y = -2.5x - 1

Hope that helps! :)
