so the way I think about it is that the mouth of the alligator will eat the bigger number because it is very hungry.

so for example you have 6 cupcakes on one table and 10 cup cakes on the other table the alligator will want to eat the ten cupcakes so your equation would look like this

6<10 or like this 10>6

and for the ones with the line underneath it just means greater than or equal to

so like if you had an equation say a company is launching shirts and they are upping the prices on some of them but keeping them the same on others it can be said that itd be grater than or equal to

x is greater than or equal to 6" (x≥6)

so this for visual example

x = new price and 6 is the old price
