We can always change our views for what we think or know, no matter what. I think when you have the right evidence and support you will understand things differently. For example, at first Joshua thought his sister had a problem and he went asking his dad for a solution but only to find out that it wasn't a problem and everything was okay with her she was just different from him. He said he waited for numberless years for her to be able to hear and that was because he thought she was sick or had a problem and of course at the age he can finally understand more he found out his sister was perfectly imperfect just the way she was. He remembers her birthday when other people like her who were deaf danced so gracefully to the beats and he says they had a wall between them that he never took the time to break, once he reflects on her difference and his mindset he realizes that it was his fault he wasn't close to his sister like he wanted to be, he never took the time to learn her ways. He apologizes for his silence because he knows he wasn't right at first. His point of view changed once he knew all there was to know.
