I live in Alabama. Roll tide! ( I had to say that.)

Alabama is called "Alabama" because the European- American naming of the Alabama River and State comes from the Alabama people. An Indian tribe who live right under the confluence of the Coosa and Tallapoosa rivers on the upper reaches of the river. People disagree on the matter scholars think the word comes from the Choctaw al-ba meaning plants or weed. Also, amo meaning to cut, to trim or to gather. We have 174 total cities, an 573 towns.

Yea I did my research. hope this helps.

I wanted to make this shorter and more read-able
