3=-2+B. +2 +3 B=5 “y=1/3x+5” in perpendicular lines slope1times slope 2 creates a negative (-1) example(-3/1)(1/3)=-1 so slope 1 multiplied by slope 2 is the opposite inverse which creates a negative 1
