Why do countries, make alliances, in wartime? please someone help me!

Because when make allies, they have someone to have their back.

Explanation:

For example, If you're in a fight, you're gonna need backup. In war, you need as many people as you can to take down the villain (your opponent). Which means people, ammo, guns, bombs, support, and inside spies. All of this helps and will be easier to defeat the person per-say.
