The value of x for the diagonal PR in the parallelogram PQRS is equal to 6.

The diagonals PR and QS which bisects each other in the parallelogram PQRS implies that the two expressions on the line PR are equal hence we shall derive the value of x as follows:

5x + 11 = 4x + 17

subtract 4x from both sides;

5x - 4x + 11 = 4x - 4x + 17

x + 11 = 17

subtract 11 from both sides;

x + 11 - 11 = 17 - 11

x = 6

Therefore, using the value of x for the expressions on the diagonal PR is derived to be x = 6.
