The colonists soldiers fought for the 13 colonies against the British during the revolutionary war. The soldiers however were not very experienced with fighting and were also very young. They also had very little food and ammunition. The British Army did have the advantage because their army was more experienced in fighting. The colonists soldiers had more spirit in winning the war than the British did so that why the Colonists won the war.
